Partner schools led local sessions to raise awareness of the most urgent water-related environmental challenges.

Engaging Local Communities

As part of the Think Blue, Go Green and Drink Clean project, partner schools carried out a variety of local activities aimed at raising awareness of today's most pressing water-related environmental challenges. These activities were designed not only to inform, but also to inspire responsibility and action among students and teachers.

Interactive PowerPoint presentations were delivered in each partner institution, focusing on key topics such as water pollution, sustainable water use, the environmental impact of water sports, and the vital role of thermal and drinking water in human health and everyday life. Rather than being passive sessions, these presentations encouraged open discussion, questions, and critical thinking, allowing participants to reflect on their own habits and the wider impact of water misuse.

By implementing these activities at a local level, the project ensured that its core messages reached a broad and diverse audience. Most importantly, it helped build a shared sense of responsibility and understanding of water sustainability across different countries, school communities, and cultures—strengthening the idea that protecting water resources is a global mission that starts locally.
